Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday the funeral Home.
Ann Morris was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Siloam Springs, Ark. Ann was a member of a large family, with eight sisters and two brothers in the Pearson family. At the age of 9 she was struck with polio and her family was told that she would only live a few years, but she proved them wrong. Later she was told that she could never have children, that it would be fatal. Again she proved them wrong by bearing two strong sons. Because of the polio she didn't finish grade school and again she was told she could not have a career, but self-education and determination proved everyone wrong once again. Among her accomplishments she was head of three departments at Montgomery-Ward, plant manager at Design R Craft, plant manager at Salty's Apparel and when other women were thinking retirement, Ann never slowed down. Ann took in ironing, sewing, and cleaned homes because she loved to work. She was truly an inspiration to her family and friends. Above all that she was in life, she remained steadfast in her love of her family.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Morris; her son, Larry Dale Morris; and her brothers and sisters.
Survivors: Son, Lloyd R. Morris; three grandsons; and two great-grandsons.
