FRANK DWIGHT SCHMIDT

Frank Dwight Schmidt, 73, of Lowell Rt.1 died Monday morning, June 18 at his home.

He was born Aug. 26, 1916, in Lowell to Charles Schmidt and Merle Schmidt Augenstein.

He had lived in the Lowell area all his life. He had retired as a truck driver from the Washington County Highway Department.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the VFW Post 5108 in Marietta and American Legion Post 750, Lowell.

He is survived by three sons, Steven and Stanley of Lowell, Michael of Waterford; one granddaughter; five step-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Kile Miller of Marietta.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Louise Brown, whom he married Dec. 30, 1941. She died March 13, 1989.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley and Peoples Funeral Home, with Merle Farnsworth officiating.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, with full military rites by Post 750.

Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Donations may be made to the L-A Fire and Rescue Squad.
