RANDAL RAY SCHMIDT
LOWELL- Randal Ray Schmidt, 76, of Lowell Route 1 died Monday morning (Sept. 30, 1996) at his home.
He was born May 11, 1920, in Washington County to Clarence and Alma Henniger Schmidt.
He lived all his life in the Lowell area. He was a farmer and also was a bus driver for Fort Frye School District. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Church in Lowell.
He is survived by one son, Charles Ray Schmidt, and one daughter, Bonnie Schmidt, both of Lowell, and their mother, Mary Owens Schmidt. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Missy and Cyndi Schmidt; one grandson, Jason Schmidt; two brothers, George Schmidt of Columbus and Clarence D. Schmidt Jr. of Lowell; and a special friend, Ceola Henniger of Lowell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Virgil "Jo" Wilking, Eleanor Sargant, and Verna Long.
Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Evangelical Church with Pastor Robert Schafer officiating. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the L-A Fire and Rescue Squad. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
