Final Rites Today for Earl Anderson

Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock this morning for Earl A Anderson, 62, who died suddenly of a heart attack Monday afternoon. The rites will be conducted at the home five miles west of Okolona by Rev. L O Elmore, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. R L Stewart, pastor of the Christian Church. Burial will be in the I O O F Cemetery with Barry-Chandler in charge.

Mr. Anderson, a prominent planter and cattle raiser, passed away about four o'clock Monday afternoon as he entered the door of Dr. B D Hansell's Clinic, seeking medical aid for what appeared to be an attack of indigestion. He had transacted business and visited with friends during the afternoon. Accompanied by Mrs. Anderson and their daughter, Mrs. Bud Tacker, he was en route home when he became ill. The party turned and hurried to the clinic where he had to be assisted from the car and into the building where he died in the arms of the physician and nurse.

A son of the late Charlie Stockton Anderson and Mary Frances Walker Anderson, Mr. Anderson was born near Okolona and spent his entire life in this community where he had large farming interest. He served as a member of the Board of Supervisors from District Three for eight years and was active in civic affairs.
