Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under direction of Johnson Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mr. Benoit died at 8:30 p.m. Friday in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness.
A native of Kaplan, he was an operator with Olin Chemical Co. for many years. He was a veteran of World War II and had lived in Lake Charles for 34 years.
Survivors include two sons, Donald James Benoit of Lake Charles and Jimmy Benoit of Slidell; one daughter, Elaine Marie Benoit of Lake Charles; his mother, Edolia Badon of Lake Charles; one sister, Viola Vincent of Lake Charles and five grandchildren.
