LEWIS, MILTON, MRS. - Died in Dallas Tuesday morning following an operation at St. Paul's Sanitarium Saturday a week ago. Deceased was a former Sulphur Springs resident, moving from here to Dallas about twelve years ago. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Miss Nadine Lewis, Ft. Worth; and Miss Mildred Lewis, Dallas; two sons, Thurmond Lewis, Mexico; Buckie Lewis, Dallas. Also her mother, Mrs. E.A. Thurmond, Quanah; two Brothers, D.A. Thurmond, Sulphur Springs; Dr. W.E. Thurmond, Quanah; and the following sisters, Mrs. Wess Blalock, Green Pond; Mrs. Hattie Sparkman, Winfield; Mrs. Odene Detwallar, Kansas, and a sister in San Francisco, Calif. The remains were brought overland to the Murry Funeral Parlors and remained there till carried to Forest Academy where services and burial took place. (Hopkins Co. Echo, Apr. 6, 1934)
