Stephen Macaulay was born in North Gouverneur and was educated in the Spragueville schools. On November 5, 1932 he married Lillian Smith. They lived in Hailesboro before moving to Gouverneur. Mr. Macaulay worked as a crusherman for International Talc until he retired in 1973.
He was survived by his wife, three sons, three daughters, two sisters, 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
