Mrs. Geo. Hughes died at the home of Mrs. Severn in Nelson about 10 o'clock Saturday morning, July 23, of Consumption after a long illness. She leaves one child and a husband to mourn her loss. She had been a member of the Christian Church previous to her coming to Nuckolls county (sic). Since she came here she has not had the privilege of attending church. The funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the Christian Church.
