OBITUARY: The Paris News, Monday, November 18, 1985 Elsie Mae Allen, 919-12th SE, died Saturday, Nov. 16 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Allen was born Sept. 24, 1900, in Blossom, a daughter of Kirby and Ida Hancock. She married Fred Allen on Dec. 14, 1922, in Lamar County. He died Sept. 10, 1982. She was a Baptist. Surviving are two sons, Fred H. Allen of Paris and Ed T. Allen of Paris; three daughters, Jimmie Nell Allen of Paris, Clara Nemarich of Dallas and Adell Brown of Dallas; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
