Cassie was a friend of our family, known as "Little Miss Sunshine." Cassie and my sister, Elizabeth, shared a special bond. They both shared the same name, Elizabeth, and both knew they were going home to see Jesus soon. Cassie and my sister spoke to each other over the phone but never met in person. When one was well, the other was not. Their goal to see each other was finally met in Heaven.
When Cassie left us, she was in her mother's loving arms and I know that day she must have been in my sister's arms in Heaven, too. It is such an overwhelming joy to imagine their happy sparkling eyes and big bright precious smiles, free from their earthly pain, finally meeting. God certainly knew they deserved this grand embrace and that was how it was meant to be.
