Louise (Borgognoni) Cavallo, 87, of Vineland died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in Bishop McCarthy Residence in Vineland.
She was born in Bologna, Italy, to the late Ercole and Guiseppina (Palmerini) Borgognoni, before moving to Vineland in 1928, where she remained a lifelong resident. She was employed as a clothing worker for DeRossi & Sons Clothing for 50 years before her retirement. Louise was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union and a past member of the North Italy Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her late husband. Her pastimes were cooking and baking, and she was well known by her family for her homemade pasta. Her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Marcello E. and wife Carol Cavallo of Vineland; two daughters, Arlene J. Cavallo of Vineland and Sharon R. Armellini of Davie, Fla.; grandsons, Marcello E. and wife Linda Cavallo, William C. and wife Jana Cavallo, Joseph D. and wife Ramona Sauro, Dominick and Amy Sauro, and Kyle Armellini; granddaughters, Joann Cavallo, Stephanie Armellini and Dana Armellini; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1993, Marcello R. Cavallo.
A church visitation will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday, with the funeral liturgy to follow at 1 p.m. from St. Isidore the Farmer Church, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland.
Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
Arrangements are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, 1110 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland.
