Nannie Kate Mullin, 83, of Rt. 3, Bluefield died Wednesday morning in a Bluefield hospital following a long illness.

Born in Frankllin County, Va. she was a daughter of the late H. W. Arrington, Sr., and Betty Craft Arrington. A resident of Rt. 3 for the past 65 years, she was a member of the Duhring Church of Christ. She formerly owned and operated Mullin's Grocery of Rt. 3, Bluefield. She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Mullin, in 1962 Whom she married Feb. 19, 1904 and one daughter, Amy Lucille Mullin.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Roy (Alma) Lusk of Rock, Mrs. Earl (Viola) Foy of Rt. 3. Bluefield, Mrs. Edgar (Sadie) Mabe of Rt. 4, Bluefield, Mrs. Lomer (Ruth) Mabe of Rt. 3, Bluefield, and Mrs. Garnett (Vera) Keyes of Rt. 3, Bluefield; sons, Fred Mullin of Freeman and William Mullin of Seabrook, Md.; step-mother Alva Arrington of Duhring,; three sisters, Mrs. Ora Whittaker and Mrs. Sally Garrison of Duhring, and Mrs. Victoria Ball of Limestone Tenn.; one half-brother W. H. Arrington of Princeton, six half-sisters, Mrs. Lila Shrader of Duhring, Mrs. Lizzie Richmond of Montcalm, Mrs. Frances Fuga of Bluefield, Mrs. Gracie Meade of Princeton, Mrs. Helen Fares of Josephine and Mrs. Mary Hurst of Baltimore, Md. 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Chapel in Bluefield with Rev. Fred Lester and Rev. R. B. Pickett officially. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Bluefield-Princeton Road.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters will serve as flowerbearers.

The body will be taken to the residence today at 4 -p.m. and returned in the funeral home one hour prior to services.
