Services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, with Pastor Gerald Mertz officiating. Burial was in the Goodland Cemetery.

Mr. Walker was born on March 15, 1916, south of Goodland. He was the son of W.R. and Sadie B. Walker. He grew up on the farm and attended schools in Goodland. Upon completion of his schooling, he worked in several businesses in the Goodland area.
In 1942 he accepted employment with the Rock Island Railroad, where he worked as a brakeman until his retirement in December 1979.
He married Audre Post on Dec. 15, 1959 in Amarillo, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Audre, of the home; two brothers, Philip and Nick of Goodland; and two sisters, Minnie Crosby and Ginger Novack, both of Denver.
