Susan Isabelle Robards Briscoe was the wife of James Mitchell Briscoe. They were married on January 4th 1883. Susan and James had one son James Thompson Briscoe and one daughter Belle Briscoe. Susan was the daughter of the late John Robards and Isabella “Belle” Gastin Robards. She was the daughter in law of Samuel Hocker Briscoe and Margaret Susannah Bailey Briscoe. Susan had the following brother and sisters; Otho G Robards, Mary Elizabeth Robards, Lizzie D Robards, Nathan F Robards, William Lee Robards, and Bertie Allen Robards. She lived in the Boyle County Area most of her life even though she was born in Illinois. According to her death certificate she died from a Coronary Occlusion due to Arteria Sclerosis. She was carried for just prior to her death by Dr. Stuart P Hemphill. The funeral director that handled her funeral was AB Coyle.
