DOROTHY GENE BROWN died on May 29, 2008. She was born in Dallas, TX. on Feb. 26, 1918 and moved to Houston, TX. at a young age. She is a graduate of San Jacinto High School where she played the viola. She was married to C.O. Brown, Jr. for 62 years. Her kindness and sense of humor captivated and endeared her to all that she met. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband C.O. Brown, Jr., Children Nancy Gene and Donald Wayne. Her parents Clayton and Maggie Drennan and her sister and husband Margaret and Hank Spillar. She is survived by her granddaughter, Deborah Hallene and husband David Jr., their children David III, Ashley, Stephen and his wife Rebecca and Erika, great great grandchildren Michael, Kevin, and Madison Hallene. Granddaughter, Catherine Ritter husband Mike and sons, Matt and Tyler. Granddaughter, Elizabeth Kee husband Matt and son Zachary. Grandson, Michael Stokes and wife Sueli and son Antonio. Grandson John Stokes. Her nephew Stuart Spillar and wife Barbara. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with internment to follow in our cemetery.
