Farview Hospital Employe Retires
_____E. S. Wright Ends Long Career at Institution______
After nineteen years of active service at the institution, Edward S. Wright, Canaan constable, has been retired from duty at Farview State Hospital for the Criminal Insane. His home adjoins the hospital's property. Mr. Wright entered the hospital's employ as an outside guard under the late Dr. Thomas C. Fitzsimmons, founder and first superintendent of the institution. Later he was employed as a foreman under M.T. Spangenberg, superintendent of farms. He served under three superintendents: the founder, the late Dr. William M. Lynch, and the present executive, Dr. Clark P. Holbrook. In his long service, Mr. Wright has participated in the development of the hospital - the only one of its kind in Eastern Pennsylvania. He was born in Salem township on April 22, 1870. His first occupation was with the Erie railroad. Later he became a driller of artesian wells. He is one of the best known and highly respected citizens of Wayne county
