OBITUARY: Menomonee Falls News GRANVILLE WOMAN DIES SUDDENLY HERE. Mrs. Mathilda Schneiss (nee Leister) passed away suddenly here last Thursday evening while visiting with relatives Her death was attributed to a sudden heart attack; and though her family realized she was not in the best of health they were greatly shocked at her sudden death. Mrs. Schneiss was a resident of Granville the wife of the late Adam Schneiss and daughter of Tobias and Wilhelmina Behnke Leister She was born at Granville on April 2, 1867. On June 22 1904 she was wed to Mr. Schneiss at Granville. She was a faithful member of the West Granville Presbyterian church and also the Ladies Aid. Surviving her are her sister, Mrs. Ida Schubert and Mrs. Rose Snyder, two brothers Sam and Nelson Leister both of Milwaukee; also nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday Feb. 22 at 2:30 p.m. from the West Granvile Presbyterian church with the Rev. Edgar Bletcher and Rev, C. H. Gisselbrecht officiating. Burial was in the Church cemetery.”
