Graveside services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial Park for James Gorman, age 54, of Shreveport, LA on Tuesday, September 5, 2000 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be at Centuries Funeral Home on Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Mr. Gorman entered into rest on Thursday, August 31, 2000 at Life Care Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Henderson, TX and lived in Shreveport since 1957. He was employed at the Horseshoe Casino as a security guard.
Mr. Gorman was preceded in death by his parents, Cubit and Angie Gorman and one sister, Marilyn Gorman.
He is survived by his fiancee, Jo-Ann Moran of Shreveport, LA; one daughter, Jill McKinnon and husband, John of Marshall, TX; four brothers, Gene Gorman of Bossier City, LA, Travis Gorman and wife, Phyllis of Haughton, LA, Billy Gorman and wife, Sherry of Ruston, LA, Melvin Gorman and wife, Lisa of Shreveport, LA; two grandchildren, Kevin and Tyler McKinnon.
The family would like to thank James' many friends at the Horseshoe Casino for their love and care. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
