Funeral services for Edith was held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, at Providence Retirement Home Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died sudenly Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 7:35am while a resident at the Providence Retirement Home.

She was a native of Jamestown, Tenn., was a retired powder loader for I.C.I. Americas in Charlestown IN, and was a member of Wall Street United Methodist Church.

Mom was married to Eugene Knott Linney on July 29 1940 in New Albany Indiana after a 2 year cortship. They Honeymooned in Washington DC.
