ROBERT M. GORMAN
DIED AT ROANE AND
RITES HELD MONDAY
Robert Mitchell Gorman, aged 69 years died at his home in the Roane community about noon Sunday after a several days Illness.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Corsicana Church of Christ with burial in the New Chatfield cemetery. The rites were conducted
by Leroy Brownlow, minister of the local Church of Christ.
A native of Arkansas, he had resided In Navarro County for forty years.
Surviving are his wife, four sons, Melvln Gorman, Montfort; Howard Gorman, Roane; Stanley Gorman, Brownwood, and Albert Gorman, Corsicana; three daughters, Mrs. Lonnie Burgett, Dallas; Mrs. R.H. Wheeler, Tupelo, and Mrs. Tom Bancroft, Powell; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Aycock, Arkansas, and Mrs. Delia Lankston, Louisiana; three brothers, Eli Gorman, Montfort, and Vosser and Americus Gorman, both of Arkansas and eight grandchildren. He was a member of the WOW Lodge.
Pallbearers were Sam Ragan, Joe Sims, Robert Jones, Buda Gorman A. D. McMullen and Oscar O'Daniel.
Corley Funeral Home directed arrangements.
