On 5 January 1920 Albert Adams (39), wife Sara (38), children; Dortha (14), Clarence (12), Harold (7), Larin* (5), Florence (3+2/12), Burell (1+10/12) and infant son, Jessie (?/12) lived in Chester Precinct, Randolph County, Illinois. NOTE: Names spelled as they appear on original image of this census. Larin should be Lorin. Albert was a teamster, in town.

On 12 April 1930 Albert J. Adams (49), wife Sarah M. (47), children; Dorothy M. (24), Clarence C. (22), Harold C. (18), Lorin J. (16), Florence C. (14), Burnell W. (12), Dolores J. (11), Marie E. (8) and Delbert G. (4+9/12) lived on Hill Road in Chester Precinct, Randolph County, Illinois. Albert was a truck farmer. Dorothy was a thread looper at a knitting mill. Clarence was a truck driver for construction work. Harold was a sole layer at a shoe factory. Lorin was a (bottom or button?) polisher, also at a shoe factory. NOTE: Their family did not have a radio set.

Dies in California

BURLINGTON - Lorin J. Adams, a 12 year Burlington resident, died Monday at Barstow, Calif., where he was working on a construction job for Mid-Mountain Contractors.

Mr. Adams, 56, was a member of Operating Engineers Local 302, Seattle, the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite Bodies of Bellingham.

Surviving are the wife, Imogene, and a daughter, Janet, both at home; three sons, Michael of Seattle and Ronald and Richard of Houston, Tex.; two grandchildren, and eight brothers and sisters.

Burlington Lodge 258 will officiate at Masonic services at 2 p.m. Friday at Hulbush Funeral Home. Burial will be at Burlington Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be sent to the National Arthritis Foundation.
