Addison E. Paxson, 50, a resident of this city (Marshalltown, Iowa), until last June, when he went to Oakdale, died Monday afternoon of acute pneumonia. He underwent an operation two weeks ago at the University hospital, Iowa City. Mr. Paxson was born near Montour Sept. 11, 1871. He was united in marriage in St. Paul, June 15, 1908, to Miss Bertha Furnas. Mrs. Paxson and five children live at 202 South Second avenue. The latter are Oliver, Henry, Harold, Edmund and Orville.

Mr. Paxson's mother, Mrs. Rebecca Paxson, lives with her daughter, Mrs. O. E. Howard, at Minburn, and a brother, Fred Paxson, resides near Marietta.

The latter went to Iowa City Monday and will bring the body back to this city tonight.

The funeral of A. E. Paxson was held at 1:30 Thursday at the Estel parlors in charge of Rev. M. Knoer, of the Albion Methodist church. The pallbearers were R. Edwinson, L. Boswell, Carl Nelson, J. W. Cooper, Joe Cain and George Tressler. The Red Men and the Yeoman lodges had charge at the grave in Pleasant Hill cemetery, LeGrand.
