Billie J. Abbott, 65, of Amarillo died Wednesday, June 4, 2008.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dick Marcear of The Church of Christ at The Colonies officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.
Mr. Abbott was born Feb. 8, 1943, in Little Rock, Ark., to Eddie and Nora Abbott. He married Shasta Hadley on Jan. 1, 1990, in Fritch. Mr. Abbott was a longtime resident of Amarillo. He worked for Nabisco for many years, receiving many awards.
He was a believer in God. Mr. Abbott enjoyed raising chickens, gardening and traveling, and was always lending a helping hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Nora Abbott.
Survivors include his wife, Shasta Abbott; three daughters, Teresa McIlroy and husband Jeff of Catoosa, Okla., Jananne Hillenburg and husband Mark and Tracy Reynolds and husband Chris, all of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and six grandchildren.
