Asher Bates EMERY, b. Aurora, NY, Feb. 18. 1867 d. August 8, 1924. son of Josiah EMERY III b. October 29, 1819 - August 19, 1896. and Elizabeth KELLOGG. Was a the grandson of Col. Josiah EMERY II 1783 - 1873 and Susan LITTLE of New Hampshire.
Asher m. Helen B. had at least one daughter, Elizabeth.
Lived East Aurora, Erie County, N.Y. EMERY ft PAUL General practice Firm consisted of Asher B Emery W.B. Paul. Also of the firm of Dudley, Emery and Georgia, of Buffalo

A.B. Emery, Republican. admitted to the bar 1895 NY (ed pub schs) Erie County Attorney, East Aurora NY legal ed Buffalo Law School Office 621 Marine Bank Bldg . Alternate delegate to Republican National Convention from New York, 1908; Justice of New York Supreme Court 8th District, 1924; died in office 1924. (He was also the Brother of Judge Edward KELLOGG EMERY)
Several family members are buried in this cemetery (Not to be confused with his Uncle of the same name).

(Josiah EMERY owned 175 acres of land in the Town of Aurora; his descendants lived and worked on this land for over one hundred years. In 1925, The Parks Commission purchased 175 acres of land from Helen B. EMERY, (Widow of Asher) forming EMERY Park. Emery Park had an abundance of attractions from the beginning. Highlights were a rock garden, an amphitheater (original capacity 600), formal gardens, stone arch footbridge, and Emery Inn (Est. 1926,used as a museum & restaurant but was the former home of the Emery family). The Park contains sixty-nine structures, 95% of the structures built in or before 1935. Emery Park has evolved into a 489-acre park.)
