I have been searching for Sarah Elizabeth and Elam for a long time. The confusion was there were 2 burial sites listed for Elam Allen . One buried in Cass County, NE and one in Polk County, Iowa. Sarah Elizabeth parents are buried in Cass County Nebraska, so my research was centered there. Elam and Sarah have 2 children buried in Cass County. In seaching on the Iowa WPA Grave website I found Elam in Polk County, Iowa. This ended my search for Sarah Elizabeth. My son and I drove to Des Moines and walked this very large cemetery and finally found her gravesite. However, I do not believe that Elam is buried with her. His death date is blank on the gravestone. Elams last known residence was Cass County, Nebraska living with his two daughters in 1910. On the Cass County Ne Burial there is a Elam Allen listed but does not indicate which cemtery. So my search continues.
