.Born in Hanover Germany, per his Civil War enlistment papers, Henry lived in Rochester, Monroe, New York.

Assuming his marriage took place sometime before 1861, as Alma A. (Robidou) Albright is listed as Henry's wife on subsequent military papers.

Henry was a teamster before and after the war, and when he enlisted, he joined Co. B 6th Cavalry Regiment. We know Henry returned from the war as he shows on city directories and census after 1865. We also know Alma had a claim with the army as to what might have contributed to Henry's eventual death. "Papers are in the lawyers hands."

The battles Henry fought in as part of the 6th: " Civil War: *Peninsula; *Antietam; *Fredericksburg; *Chancellorsville; *Gettysburg; *Wilderness; *Spotsylvania; *Cold Harbor; *Petersburg; *Shenandoah; *Appomattox; *Virginia 1862; *Virginia 1863; *Virginia 1864; *Virginia 1865; *Maryland 1863."

Henry also spent some time as a Rochester fireman, according to Rochester City directories.

In the 1865 census you find Alma and Henry living next door to Lydia, Alma's mother, and the Robidou family, on Orchard Street, Rochester, New York. After Henry died, Alma started work as a, 'tailoress.'
There were no known children.

Alma died 10 Dec 1895, Rochester, Monroe, New York, nine years after Henry passed, 23 Nov 1886 .
