Kit Carson Potter, 84, died yesterday afternoon at his home on Cold River road after a long period of ill health. The body was taken to the Aldous funeral home on Church street where services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with burial in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Potter spent his early life in Shrewsbury as a farmer, moving to Rutland 22 years ago. He was born in Castleton. His survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Lura E. Adams of East Clarendon and Mrs. William Osteyee of North Clarendon; two sons, Leon Potter and Edward C. Potter of North Clarendon; one sister, Mrs. Ella Irish of Wallingford; also 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
