Cle Ernest Hubbard, 76, of Rockford, departed this earthly life Thurs-day, May 29, 2008, in River Bluff Nursing Home after a long illness. He was born Jan. 13, 1932, in Gurdon, Ark., the son of George Jr. and Bernice Hubbard. He lived 55 years in Rockford, coming from Arkansas. Cle was last employed as a machine operator by Greenlee Textron 23 years before their closing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Cle was a member of Providence Baptist Church, serving in the male chorus and participating in Sunday school and Bible study. He attended schools in Arkansas. Cle leaves to cherish many loving memories, son, Kevin Bose of Milwaukee; three grandchildren; brother, Horace (Lessie) Hubbard; sisters, Eloise (Joe) Anderson, Robertine "Tinea" Miller and Izetta (Rev. Verdell) Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including special advisor, Deacon Willie Howard. Predeceased by parents; brothers, Oliver, Leon and Elga Hubbard; and sister, Louise Jarrett. Service at noon Thursday, June 5, in Providence Baptist Church, 2209 Clifton Ave., with visitation from 10 a.m. to time of service. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Arrangements completed by Carl E.
