Edward Funkhouser was born July 30, 1903 In Dale, Hamilton Co., IL and died on Dec.23, 1989 in Henderson, Clark Co., NV. He was the s/o Thomas Jefferson Funkhouser and Anna Elizabeth Lemay and the first of four children for them that survived. He married Alice Katherine Strattan on June 16, 1923 at Mt.Vernon IL.,They had issue of four children who are all living. He and his wife Alice belonged to the Second Baptist Church at Mt Vernon and He was the Choir leader at that church for many years.
He sang for many Church's all over Central and Southern IL. for many different occasions such as Revivals and Funerals.
