The Funeral for Veda Seaman,85 of Faulkton was Saturday Feb 4,1984 at the United Church of Faulkton Rev.Gary Rae officiated.
Burial was in the Faulkton Cemetery
Mrs.Seaman passed away Wednesday Feb 1,1984 at her home in Faulkton.
Veda Harriet Marsh was born in Faulkton On Oct 20,1898. During early childhood she lived in the frontier river town of Evarts in Walworth County.The family returned to Faulkton in 1905. She attended Faulkton School graduating in 1915. She attended Aberdeen Business College following which she worked as a legal secretary. In 1923 she married Paul Seaman. They lived in Vermillion Yankton and Huron,South Dakota.They also lived in Minot & Bismarck,North Dakota.She returned to Faulkton in 1943 where she has since resided. She was a lifelong member of the Congregation Church and a member of The Order of the Eastern Star She was also a member of the Faulkton Study Club She was a leader of the Campfire Girls and a church school teacher and a member of her church choir. She served as Faulk County deputy register of deeds and Faulk County deputy County auditor retiring in 1961. She was past worthy matron of Chapter 69 OES of Faulkton
Survivors include one son David of Aberdeen one daughter Dorothy Brockway of Denver,Co,one brother William Marsh,one sister Dorothy Meier both of Faulkton and three grandchildren Anne & Joy Seaman and Lesley Hoppert
She ws preceded in death by her parents two sisters and one brother.
Casketbearers were Butch Selting,Jack Turner Leonard Vogeler,Marvin Hutchinson,Dick Weyand and Vern Meeks.
