ARTHUR G. CRISMAN "ART"
Age 77, of New Chicago, passed away Sunday, October 18, 1998. Mr. Crisman had been a lifelong New Chicago and Lake Staion area resident. He was a New York Central Railroad employee for 10 years and worked for L.R.V. Steel for 15 years, retiring in 1973. A US Army veteran of World War II and a 41 year member of American legion Post #100 of Lake Station. survivors: wife, Hannah of 36 years; 1 step-daughter, Gwendolyn (Dale) Clapp, of Hobart; 3 grandchildren, Dale and Lynn Clapp, Tammy (Tim) Pivarnik, all of Valparaiso, Doug (Misty) Clapp, of Portage; 6 great-grandchildren, Dale and Kelly Clapp, Tara Villarreal and Cara Pivarnik, Jake and Keighly Capp; 1 brother, Robert (Dee) Crisman, of NC; 3 great-nieces and nephews, Tommy, Heather and Jennifer. Funeral servcies from Rees Funeral Home, 600 W Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, Rev. Ronald Deck, officiating. Burial Calvary Cemetery, Portage. American Legion services will be conducted Tuesday.
