Cache -- Funeral for OLETA ROACH CRABTREE, 92, of Cache, Okla., will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Cache, with Rev. James Pritchard and Ben Smith officiating.
Mrs. Crabtree died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, in Duncan.
Burial will be in Cache Cemetery under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Home.
Mollie Oleta Rice was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Elmer, to Andy Solomon and Sarah Jane Cloer Rice. She was raised and attended school at Broxton. She moved to Cache when she was young and became a member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Cache Rose Garden Club, where as president she was instrumental in establishing the Community Medical Clinic and Health Center in Cache. She was a member of Cache Chamber of Commerce from 1968 to 1971, when she owned and operated the florist shop in Cache. After selling her florist business, she began donating floral arrangements she made to five churches in Cache, to the Cache Senior Citizens Center, the "Home Sweet Home" home health care center, and two nursing homes in Lawton.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Donald Ray and Kay Walker, Gadsden, Ala., James D. and Billie Roach, Duncan, Cecil A. and Dianna Roach, Albuquerque, N.M., and Rickey A. Roach, Cache; a daughter and son-in-law, Nelda Lee and Ben Smith, Corpus Christi, Texas; stepchildren, Jo Ann Brit, Snellville, Ga., Penny Crabtree and wife Norma, Lawton, and Lynda Baughman, Cache; many grand-children, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Troy Thomas Walker, Cecil Lee Roach and J.M. Crabtree; six brothers; two sisters; and a granddaughter, Karen Smith.
