Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Tipton-Pixley Cemetery, Tipton, with full military honors under the auspices of the U.S. Navy, for former Tularean Danny Glenn Van Allen, 48, Pixley, who died of heart failure Tuesday at a Bakersfield hospital.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Goble-Miller Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Hanford and raised and educated in the Tulare area. He attended Tulare Union High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married the former Isabelle Terronez in Las Vegas, Nev.. in 1972 and they made their home in Pixley. He owned and operated Danny's Custom Welding in Pixley. He enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael and Eddie Van Allen, both of Pixley; one daughter, Jenean Van Alien, Pixley; his mother and stepfather, Jem and Robert Haudenschild, Tulare; three brothers, Pat Van Allen, Visalia, Douglas Van Allen, Kodiak, Ala., and Jerry Van Allen, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sisters, Karen Waldrop, Bufaula, Okla., and Barbara Van Allen, Oklahoma City, Okla. ; and one grandson.
