Mrs. Allen was born May 10, 1912, in Hanford, Calif. The 82-year-old Northeast Portland resident died of causes related to age July 31.
She retired in the late 1970s after nearly 20 years as an executive secretary for architects Annand, Boone and Lei. Mrs. Allen was active in Women in Construction, an organization she helped found.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Bouchard of Portland; sister, Sadie Peixoto of Watsonville, Calif.; brothers, Walter Howes of San Jose, Calif., James Howes of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Donald Howes of Bullhead City, Ariz., and two grandchildren.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery.
