Mr. Eley, a native of Bedford County,was an employee of Eraser Products in Lewisburg, and a member of Fairlane Church of Christ.He was the son of W.A. and Evie Wheelhouse Eley of Unionville. He was the husband of the late Anna Beatrice Potts Eley, who died in 1971.
Survivors include a daughter, Ardoth McGukin, of Bremen, GA.; son, Andy Eley, of Montgomery Ala, three brothers: William F. Eley, of Decatur, Ala, G.L. Eley of Shelbyville, Tenn. and James M. Eley, of Corinth Miss: three sisters, Mrs. Ralph(Ruby) Snell of Florence, Ala., Mrs. Edward (Gladys) Harper of Unionville, Tenn., and Mrs. Lester (Evylin) Lowe, of Deason Community, and two grandchildren.
