Eldest son of Aaron & Josephine.

Volunteered his services in the defence of his country by becoming a member of Co. D., 6th Regt. Md. Vol.
Was engaged in the battle of Winchester, June 13, 14, 15th, 1863, and was killed whilst on duty at Harpers Ferry by an explosion of gunpowder.
