- Joel F. Barwick, 79, died here early this morning after two weeks illness. He had made his home here for the past 12 years but was formerly a native of Wauchula.
He is survived by five sons, Allen, Albert, Phillip Barwick, all of Lake Placid, Jesse Barwick of Tampa, Otto Barwick of Arcadia; three daughters, Mrs. A.G. Brantley, Arcadia, Mrs. J. W. Carver of Lake Placid, Mrs J. L. Skinner of Mulberry; two brothers, Nathan of Pahokee. Arthur Barwick, Lake Placid; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Simpson, Lake Placid, and Mrs. Trudi Haynes, Bartow.
Wife: Bettie Belle Barwick, daughter of Thomas Jesse Barwick and Darian Savannah Hurst.
