Robert Anderson entered service at Greensburg,Pa.on April 24th,1861 as a Corp.in Co.I.of the 11th,Pa.Vol.Inf.Reg.He mustered in at age 21.This was the 3 Mo.Unit.He mustered out with the Company on Aug.1st,1861.He reenlisted at Youngstown Pa. into the 11th,Pa.Vol.Inf.Reg.Co.K,on Oct.1st,1861,at Harrisburg, as a Sergeant.He was transfered to Co.F.and promoted to 2nd,Lt.on Nov.1st,1862,to 1st,Lt.March 28th,1864,to Quartermaster of the Reg.on Dec.5th,1864,and to Capt.of Co.G on May 5th,1865. He mustered out with the Company on July 1st,1865.
