William Harold ‘‘Sonny" Blackwell, 74 of Accokeek died May 19, 2008, in Fort Washington.

Mr. Blackwell had two years of college. He enjoyed fishing and working on his house. His children and grandchildren gave him the most enjoyment in life. He was proud of his time spent in the Marines. He was a fun, happy, full of life person.

Born Nov. 25, 1933, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Sherrod Blackwell and the late Louise Blackwell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Dodson, and daughter, Cheryl Rawokski.

He is survived by his companion, Lois Ciampo; daughters, Donna Mendez, Patricia Crampton, Sandra Bridgett, Caroline Crampton, Kim Grenier and Tammy Shabani; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon May 29 at Williams Funeral Home, Indian Head. Burial will take place at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham.
