There were seven children born of their union. The children were Mordecai, Daniel, Jonathan, Francis Marion "Frank," Joseph, Mary (Stump)and Candance.
David McKinsey was a veteran of the War of 1812, having served with Captain Richard Matson's Company of Kentucky Mounted Infantry. He was Private, enlisted 15 August 1813, served until 19 November 1813. He died on 24 May 1855 in Montgomery County, Indiana and is buried in the Texas Cemetery. This cemetery is located about three mile southwest of Alamo, Indiana, and is on land that David McKinsey originally bought from the government.
