Just one look at Ronnie's Cherokee face tells the whole story; completely full of devilment. But loveable, a good sport and a great lover of (and master of) the practical joke.

Ronnie was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Paul and Lucy George. The family moved to the Kirkersville area, where Ronnie attended Kirkersville Elementary School. He graduated in 1976 from the Licking County Joint Vocational School, with a major in Machine Shop. He would remain a machinist the rest of his short life, and loved every minute of it.

Racing his prized 1976 Dodge Aspen R/T was one of his favorite pastimes. Coming in a close second was fishing, and he loved to travel to Lake Erie for Walleye. Ronnie was a dyed in the wool Harley lover, and loved riding in charity poker runs. He had a natural love for all things Native American; eagles, horses and hawks were his favorite animals.

Ronnie met Vanessa Snyder (Benni) in 1978, and they married on October 10th, 1981. They lived in the Hebron area for nearly 11 years.

In May of 1989, Ronnie was diagnosed with testicular cancer. After a surgery to remove the tumor, the family was told, "there was some seepage, but not enough to suction out." Wrong. The aggressive cancer returned with a vengeance.

For the next three years, Ronnie endured endless rounds of inpatient chemotherapy treatments, surgery to remove lymph nodes from the base of his neck to his pelvic bone and another surgery in the neck area. Then a bone marrow transplant. The following cat scans revealed there were seven tumors in his lungs. Radiation was given as a last resort, and Ronnie was given 3-6 months to live.

And yet, his bravery during this emotionally wrenching time never waivered for a single second. He still joked, laughed and enjoyed every second of what he knew was his last days of life.

Ronnie gave his life to the Lord, and was baptized on April 21st, 1992. A dedicated soldier in God's Army, he witnessed to anyone who would listen. He loved his God, and prayed for a bodily healing so he could start a prison ministry. Sadly, God called him Home before this could happen.

Ronnie passed away quietly at home, sneaking away as Vanessa and his family briefly rested and prayed for a miracle after a horrifying day of watching Ronnie suffer. Still no tears from him. No self-pity, only praise to God to the very last minute of life. He was ready to go.

At his request, Ronnie was cremated and buried over Vanessa's maternal Grandmother who he loved, and who loved him dearly.

To know him was to love him. Vanessa, Ronnie's family and many friends miss him still.

Interesting side note; Ronnie's best friend from elementary school and all the rest of his life, was also my brother Gary's best friend before Ronnie's family moved to Kirkersville.

**A big THANK YOU and a hug to Barbara R. Davis, Dalton's Mom, for sponsoring Ronnie's memorial. May God bless you richly! **
