THOMAS GLENNON MULRENIN, son of Bernard and Clara Scheurich Mulrenin, was born August 6, 1929, in Monett, Missouri, and departed this life June 3, 2008, in Lebanon, Missouri.

In 1954, Tom, as he was known to family and friends, was united in marriage with Shirley Morgan and to this union were born four children, all surviving.

He professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized in 1929, and at the time of his death was an active and faithful member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. He was always eager to lend a helping hand, and dedicated much of his time to the upkeep of the church.

Tom graduated from Monett High School. After graduation, on February 9, 1951, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was transferred to the Army Reserves on January 25, 1953, until his honorable discharge on October 15, 1956. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and took great pride in his service time.

Tom was employed with Mid-American Dairy for over thirty years. In 1985, he became the owner of Mulrenin Siding and Insulation. His dedication to the success of the company, and his attention to detail was passed to his children, and they have managed to carry on the business since his retirement in 2004.

Although work kept Tom very busy he still had time to enjoy life's simple pleasures. He found tranquility in the outdoors, camping boating, and deer hunting were among his favorite past times. He was also an avid sports fan. It was rare to find Tom's television tuned to anything other then a Kansas City Chiefs, Missouri Tigers, or St. Louis Cardinal game. He was the definition of a true sports enthusiast. In fact he had very recently reminded his family of his absolute "lack of fondness" for the Chicago Cubs.

However, nothing compared to the time spent and memories made with his family and friends. He and companion and special friend, Peggy made many trips together. They loved to travel on family vacations, and followed her grandson Michael through his college football career. They made many lasting memories.

Tom is survived by three sons, Tom and his wife Judy, Bob and his wife Lori, and Bernie Mulrenin and his wife Shelly, all of Lebanon; one daughter, Karen Bacon and her husband Richard of Rogersville, MO; one sister, Jane of the state of Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Rich and his wife Katie, Mani and her fiancée' Kellen, Travis, Audrey, Deanna, Chris, Nick, Abby, Jonathan, Lucas and Nicholas; a special friend, Peggy Hogan of Lebanon; Peggy's two daughters, Paula Schofield and Carolyn Wehner and her husband John, all of Lebanon; Peggy's grandchildren, Matthew Wehner and his wife Shelly, Michael Wehner and his wife Amanda, and Nicholas Wehner; Peggy's six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Barney Mulrenin, and one sister Mary Blinzler.

A wonderful father, loving grandfather, cherished companion, extraordinary brother and loyal friend, he will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
