Beatrice Hastings Macaulay was the daughter of Warren Sr. and Lena Raven Hastings. She attended country schools in Macomb and Brasie Corners.
She married Henry T. Macaulay on Oct. 19, 1929, at her parents' Pope Mills home. They ran a dairy farm most of their married lives. She was a member and past matron of Pope Mills Grange, where she served as junior grange matron for 23 years and was formerly Pope Mills district junior deputy.
She was survived by three foster children, a brother, and a sister. A brother, Warren Hastings Jr., and two sisters, Anna F. Smith and Arloween Bishop, died before her.
