Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM at the Patterson-James Funeral Chapel, 123 2nd St SE, Mason City. Officiating will the Rev. David Shogren of Wesley United Methodist Church; Interment will be at 2:00PM at the Buffalo Township Cemetery in Titonka, Iowa.
Visitation will be after 3:00PM today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Hematology and Oncology Clinic at Cook's Fort Worth Children's Hospital.
Mrs. Ayres was born July 26, 1919, at Titonka, Iowa, the daughter of Strother and Sarah (Hill) Wise. She attended school in Plymouth, Iowa, then was employed at the International Resistor Company in Burlington, Iowa, and later at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, also in Burlington, Iowa.
Survivors include her daughter, Juhl Gardiner, Fort Worth, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Cecil (Mary) Shreckengost and Iva Flynn, both of Mason City, Iowa, Mrs. Ralph (Bonnie) Lease, Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Mrs. Tad (Sarah) Price, Fort Meyers, Florida; one brother Strother Wise, Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandchildren, Mrs. Bill (Rhonda) James and Ronald "Rocky" and his wife Mary Gardiner all of Fort Worth and one great-grandson, Brendin James, Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother G.B. Wise and one sister Lucille Estal.
