New York Governor, U.S. Congressman. Served as the 30th Governor of New York from 1892 to 1895. Elected to represent to different New York Districts in the United States House of Representatives on two seperate occasions. First represented the 11th District from 1881 to 1883, then the 12th District from 1889 to 1891. A statue commemorating him, sculpted by reknown sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, was dedicated to him in 1902 in his hometown of Waterton.
