RESEARCH NOTES:
The 1850 Henderson Co., Ky census has Nancy born in Virginia..but I think this is not correct.
1860 census shows her born in KY.
This census also shows Elizabeth as age 12 and Nancy J as 8, but I think they should be reversed, as the 1850 does not show Eliz. at all.
By 1870 Nancy and Elizabeth are no longer in the H/H, probably married.

Some notes from Woody Hammond about Nancy's birthdate:
There is some dispute on Nancy's birth date. Most family reseachers use 26 August 1849 as her birth date. That is the date on her tombstone.
It is supported by the 1850 census where Nancy Brickey, age 2 is listed as 2nd of 2 children of James and Priscilla Brickey in KY.
However her KY birth record says she was born 1 October 1852. This is supported by the 1860 Census which says she was 8 years old in 1860. However she should have been 12 if she was born in 1849. Instead she is the 3rd child and her sister Elizabeth is listed as the 2nd child, age 12.
I have not found her in the 1870 Census. In the 1880 Census she is married and listed as 24 years old or born about 1856. That is not 1849 or 1852, but certainly closer to 1852 than 1849
In the 1900 Census she says she was born in August 1851. CHOCTAW NATION, OK INDIAN TERR.
In the 1910 Census she says she is 57 which would place her birth about 1853.
I have not found her in the 1920 census.
In the 1930 Census she is 79 and her birth would be about 1851. She also says when she was married she was 17 years old. She was married in 1870. Her age on the census supports a birth around 1851. Her age when married would support a birth around 1853.
1943~death at Cameron, OK.
When was she born? She seemed to think it was after 1850 anyway. I think in the 1850 census, it was Elizabeth who was called Nancy at the time (for whatever reason). But there is certainly enough data to confuse all of us. Draw your own conclusions. There is probably some data to support it. :)
