Allen K Smith, married Elizabeth Brown, daughter of George Brown and Mary Polly Wilson. The family went back and forth between Kentucky and Indiana. My great-great grandmother's obituary states that her "father was a preacher," but it didn't elaborate I have been unable to confirm this claim. It's highly possible that he wasn't ordained.
There has been speculation that Allen was the son of Daniel Smith, but the dates of his birth, as well as his wife, don't make sense.
