A lifetime resident of the Shoestring Valley, Richard Strasser, died Sunday, Dec. 25, in a Morton hospital at the age of 75.
He was born Aug. 10, 1902, in Cinebar. Mr. Strasser was a logger and a member of the Shoestring Valley Community Church.
Survivors include his wife, Leona, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Mark (Sherry) DeVore, Cinebar, and Mrs. Larry (Terri) Jorstad, San Jose, Calif.; three brothers, George, Morton; Frank, Chehalis, and John, Centralis; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Oest, Onalaska, and Mrs. Bertha Allbritton, Centralia, and six grandchildren.
Services will be thursday at 11 a.m. at the Fir Lawn Funeral Chapel, Toledo, with the Revs. Charles Milliman and ronald DeVore officiating. Interment will be at the Shoestring Valley Cemetery. The casket will be closed at the service. Visitations may be made at the Chapel until 10 a.m. Thursday.
