Edwin Gordon Blake, 55, of West Suffield, formerly of Granby and Sandy Hook, died Sunday, (July 28, 2002) at his home.

Born in Bridgeport, the son of Mildred (Danowski) Blake of Sandy Hook and the late John Gordon Blake, he grew up in Sandy Hook and had lived in Granby before moving to West Suffield a year and a half ago. He owned and managed IMS Travel Agency in Suffield.

Besides his mother, he leaves his former wife, Sandra R. Blake, of Granby; a son, Sean G. Blake, of Granby; three daughters, Carolyn R. Blake, of East Granby, Bettie E. Blake and Katherine E.R. Blake, both of Granby; a granddaughter, Emily G. Blake; a brother, Philip J. Blake, and a sister, Leslie Brokaw, both of Sandy Hook; an aunt and uncle, Rudy and Lillian Danowski, of Oxford; and an aunt, Jane Weiss, of New Rochelle, NY.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 1, 12 Noon, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Sandy Hook. There are no calling hours. Hayes-Huling and Carmon Funeral Home in Granby, has care of arrangements. Published in The Hartford Courant on July 30, 2002
