Obit: James Robert Nell...NELL, James Robert, 79, of Roseburg, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1981, in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 24, 1902 in Texas. In 1925, in Tacoma, Wash., he married Adele I. Christie. Mr. Nell had previously resided in Tacoma, Wash., & Eugene, Ore. before moving to Roseburg. He was a Superintendent at Northwest Door Co., in Tacoma, Wash., and Clear Fir Door Com., in Springfield, Ore. He retired in 1961 & moved to Sun City, Ariz. & then to Roseburg in 1980, and lived here until the time of his death. He was a member of the Eugene Masonic Lodge #11 A. F. & A. M., and a member of the Eugene Elks Club. Survivors include his wife, Adele Irene of Roseburg, 2 sons, Robert E. Nell of Springfield, Ore., James A. Nell of Roseburg; one brother, Tom Riddle, 2 sisters, Lily Bindara & Alice Reynolds, all of Tacoma, Wash., 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 2, 1982, at 2 P. M. in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. in Eugene, Ore. Ed McIndoo & the Masonic Lodge #11, A. F. & A. M. will officiate. At the family's request, memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Lung Assoc., in Mr. Nell's memory. These may be left at Long & Shukle Memorial Chapel, who are in charge of the arrangements.
